Behavior of the note-title editor on two different displays

Hi Petko, thank you for the update (7.1) – it's quite incredible what you are working. Now I tested 7.1 but the problem I had with previous versions of 7 is still there, it's actually a bug as it occours now to me. It's the following: I work with two displays, one is the display of a notebook and o...

Re: In the meanwhile staying with 6

I can confirm that there is a problem with font size in the note title column. It's fine on my laptop (a Surface Pro 6), but if I move the MyInfo window over to a larger external monitor, the title text becomes too large, as described above. Fortunately, I almost always use MyInfo on the smaller sc...

Re: In the meanwhile staying with 6

Hi Telesto, thank you for your response. It seems to me, Petko developed a concept of an information-base storing all the data at one central place automatically in the deep core of the program. So it wouldn't need the save. But there are other concepts of working as well. I have a one man publisher...

In the meanwhile staying with 6

So sorry I am, for me Vers 7.0.8 is unusable. When I want to input or edit a headline in the tree, the input window stays as narrow as it is in the normal displaying mode, but the text changes to a big font and vanishes UNDER the input slit. So I can't see what I am typing. I have to finisch the inp...

Re: First feedback of 7.0.8

Hi scooterg, Hi Larry, thank you for the fast response. So, first in earlier years I did a lot of programming (mostly in - ablolutely non visual - BASIC and a lot in severel macro languages of several programs. (The first of the latter was the "WPL" = Word Processing Language" of the ...

First feedback of 7.0.8

Hi Petko and Everybody I already tryed out one of the earlier Versions of 7, but I couldn't use it – I can't remeber anymore why but I stayed with Vers 6. Now I tryed 7.0.8. and I am quite enthusiastic about it. So first, Petko, thanks for implementig the feature expand immediate children only. It's...

After installing MyInfo 7

Hi Petko, to make it short after a first glance: MI7 looks very temptating but as it seems it will take a time till I can use it. The main benefit I found is the "Global Search". It really finds everything, in headlines and text, I just couldn't figure out, in which order it places the fin...

Contribution

Hi Petko,
now I am using this great program for almost two years and I think I would like to contribute again a € 100.- to your work. So if you send me your banking contacts via mail, I will do it.

A bug - repeated headlines at ".HEAD" Import

Maybe I am the only one concerned... Hi Petko, when importing ThinkTank ".HEAD"-files, MyInfo repeats each headline in the document under the headline. Till now at the proofreading, this wasn't a concern, but now the first book is exported for typesetting and printing and I have over every...

To make entry in 'Save' option faster

Dear Petko, thank you for your answer. After restarting of the program spellchecking is in fact deactivated. The spell-check function is very useful but sometimes I need a clean image of the text. Here again a suggestion: Its very hindering, when Tools > Oprions > Save at every item compells one to ...

Display of real length of text in a doc

— A little window in the foot-bar of the program would be good, showing the real length of text as typed - I mean without going to statistics etc.

Good for writing newspaper articles etc. with given length.

My next episode /w MyInfo

It doesn't seem to be as a big traffic here as my first impression was, but nevertheless I want to post the next episode of my experiences with MyInfo. — In the meantime I understood why the lengths of documents shown are so much bigger than the text itself: there is a lot of additional data of form...

Classic import – character set

The classic ThinkTank structures are in 8-bit ASCII. MyInfo reads ANSI, so in the second 128-range the special characters of non-english languages are wrong. I have to convert the files to import in an other program before importing.

To deactivate spellchecking

I didn't find a possibility to deactivate spellchecking. Spellchecking is clearly a good thing, but sometimes the little red lines are confusing the eyes – specially in foreign languages...

Doc editor: Find more handy...

It would make find more handy to be able to determine the search direction with one click on one of two buttons: one button: search forward, one button search backward.
