Ever able to send info from Mac OS to Myinfo

In Windows XP I often use the FireFox "send to Myinfo" when collecting data. Currently, you cannot do this in Mac OS. Will it ever be possible to do so. I run Mac/Win under Parallels 5 and it would be nice to have this feature. While I do have both OSs, most of the stuff I do is under Wind...

Many thanks.

Error message "Cannot create backup file"

I am trying to use Myinfo (4.3x) on a MAC with Parallels Desktop 4.0. I can open Myinfo OK but if I modify it and try to save the file I get the message "Cannot create backup file".

What to do?

Thanks

Something I would very much like to see in MyInfo is the ability to choose on the fly as to where a web document would be imported. This is possible in Ultra Recall and is a VERY useful feature.

I would like to strongly support the suggestion by Petko to give the user the option of picking where the web page will be stored. This is the method used in Ultra Recall and it is VERY useful. In fact, it is one reason why I tend to use UR more than MyInfo, although MyInfo seems to be a bit 'slicke...

I have the same complaint and have made it to Share-it. It will be interesting to see what they do.

Importing web pages in MyInfo 4 Pro

I just tried to import into MyInfo using Firefox a web page that contained figures and tables. The text imported fine, but the tables and figures did not. All I got was a big X. Is this a bug, Is this the expected response, Is there a new link for Firefox to Myinfo.

Myinfo and url information with Firefox

It used to be if I blocked off an area of an article on Firefox and then used Send to Myinfo to get it to MyInfo the url would be placed at the bottom of the window in MyInfo. I got an upgrade SendToMyInfo for Firefox and now I no longer get the url, so I have to manually put it in. Is this an inten...

How do I get a word count

Is it possible to obtain simple statistics on a document (i.e. the right hand pane). I use MyInfo to draft documents and sometimes need to know the number of words. Can I do that in MyInfo? Will it be part of a later version?

Many thanks

Another thing to add is a better search capacity. MyInfo is very good for searching for 1 word, but searching for a phrase would be very useful. Other programs like MyInfo have this feature (e.g. Treepad) and it is very useful when trying to narrow a search down to something manageable.

Yes. Somehow the association got 'disassociated' when the Adobe upgrade was made. I uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it. Did not do the upgrade. Everything works OK now.

In treepad it gave the message that there was no file association to the file. I had just upgraded my Adobe from 7.0 to 7.0.8. When I went in to folder options in the control panel I changed the PDF link to Adobe Acrobat rather than Adobe Reader and it worked. Go figure.

I exported the MyInfo file into Treepad. Got the same problem except it also says "No valid file association found for operation: open on file: "filename"

the file is right where I put it and the link looks fine. Do you have any idea as to what is going on?

Many thanks.

Access violation when I try a hyperlink to a file on disk

Just today (everything worked fairly well till then). I made a hyperlink to a file on my hard disk and then went to try it and got the message below. Now if I try any disk oriented hyperlinks the same thing happens. It seems to work OK for links WITHIN a myinfo file or for weblinks, but not for disk...
