question about portable version

I've used MyInfo for many years, but only today have I begun experimenting with the portable version, and I find that already I have a really basic question about it. Is there any way of copying all my various preferences (such as colors and keyboard shortcuts) over to the portable version, or will ...

[confirmed] deleting a filter

Deleting a filter causes MyInfo to freeze. When I close MyInfo (with task manager) and reopen it, I see that the filter has in fact been deleted, but I find this behavior troubling. I've tried to remove filters in several notebooks, and in each case the result was the same. Has anyone else had this ...

Search results panel

I seem to recall seeing a comment several years ago that it is possible to display more than a single line for each hit in the search results panel. Is that true, or is it just wishful thinking on my part? What I'd like to have in that panel is the note title plus the search word(s) in context -- th...

Re: strikethrough?

You can create a font style with strikethrough. Slightly cumbersome, but it works.

Re: MyInfo 6.36 available

"Fixed: regression: it was not possible to use Backspace in the beginning of a paragraph"

I'm afraid this still doesn't work for me.

Thanks, Petko. That worked, and it was surprisingly easy, even for me.

Re: Customizing web site appearance with version 6.20

I'm ridiculously late to this discussion, but recently I've begun playing around with website exports, and I find there is only one extremely simple customization that I want: changing the background color of the notes to something like a pale cream. I used to be able to code in HTML many years ago,...

Re: Two limitations of MyInfo

Gary, thanks for the suggestion. I assume I could do something like this in PDF-Xchange, which I use regularly.

I have also copied text from images in OneNote.

Re: Two limitations of MyInfo

That's what we all used to do. But digital note-taking is supposed to make life easier for us. I still vividly remember accumulating great piles of slips of paper and notebooks for a big book I was working on many years ago (in the pre-computer world), and I then had to devote an entire summer to cr...

Two limitations of MyInfo

I have given a lot of thought lately to what features are missing in MyInfo and how important they may be to me. My conclusion is that while programs like Evernote and OneNote offer a stupefying abundance of features, there are really only two things of consequence to me that are still missing in My...

Re: Open multiple documents in new windows

Right, I was aware that the procedure I described was not exactly what you had in mind, though it does the trick (less efficiently than the way in which you envisioned it). I'm a beta tester for version 7, but so far there is no indication that what you want is likely to be available there. Your ide...

Re: Open multiple documents in new windows

Yes, it's easy to do, though not exactly in the way you describe. Go to a note, click on "open in new window" icon. Go to another note, do the same. The two notes will be in separate windows at that point, and you can go back to your main list of notes and move around in it in any way you'd like. Un...
