[fixed in 6.10] Size of Topic Files increases unreasonably
Petko,
I noticed this behavior.
In one of my topic files, I have about 1000 documents. No attachments at all - only text.
Originally the file is about 4 MB.
However, I rearrange the topics a lot. I cut and paste, create sub documents and move them around
a lot. I edit the text a lot, but it does not change the number of words dramatically.
However, after I did this for several weeks, the file size became 10 MB, even after I reindexed the topic.
When I export the content to a brand new topic, the size becomes 4 MB again.
Would it be possible to do this compression automatically when doing re-indexing?
Thank you,

We will try to improve that in some of the next versions.

Thanks Petko,
Would be great if the issue could be addressed in one of the maintenance releases.
interestingly, even by just cutting and pasting a couple times, by topic size doubles...

Yes, we will try to include it in some of the next releases (not the 6.05 though).

Yes, I would also like to see some news about this issue.
And I'm looking forward to seeing a 6.07 release. But of course everybody likes new releases!
I'd especially like to see
- writing tools I mentions- specifically a word-count tool
- an improved web-clipping tool

Hi Petko,
Its unfortunate that you did not have time to fix this issue for the 6.07 update.
Would appreciate it if you could keep this one in the todo list for future releases.

It's still on the todo list. I am even considering moving the index files out of the topics, but I have not yet decided which route will I take.
