Why can't I view an embedded pdf file?

Post by DDalian »

I have recently started including file attachments instead of links and I can't get MyInfo to display a preview of a pdf file in the note area like it does with other file types (docx, jpeg...). Any suggestions?

MyInfo uses Internet Explorer as internal web browser and file viewer, so PDF files must be viewable in IE in order to be viewable in MyInfo.

If you tell me your Windows and Internet Explorer version, I can find a solution for you.

I normally use Fire Fox so that seems to be the problem. When I reinstalled IE-8 and inabled the MyInfo option to view web pages it works fine.
Is there an option for using a web browser other than IE?

It was possible to use Firefox in the past, but since they haven't updated their embedded library for a few years now, it is no longer an option.

Google have an embedded version, but it is quite large and works quite differently than the IE control, so it is not an option currently too.

P.S.: So you no longer have this problem?
