Hide topics

Post by joshi »

Rather than have a large topic file, I like to create several small topics, one for each project I'm working on. The downside is that the Organize Topics menu can get very cluttered. In MI4, would it be possible to "hide" topics so that they do not appear in the Organize Topics menu. (I put "hide" in quotation marks because in MI3.6, "hide" means "close" the topics).

I note that kf on Aug. 23, 2006, suggested having "Topic Groups." This might be a solution as well.

I work the same way you do (many topics) and I share your opinion. I don't even use the Organize Topics menu anymore; rather I just use the Open File icon on the toolbar.

I'd make a similar request about the Styles drop-down menu. I only use about 4 or 5 of the built-in styles, but I use those frequently. It would be very convenient to have the ability to hide or delete built-in styles that I never use.
