Sort tree list, similar to filter list

Post by gcoulthard »

I would like to be able to click on column headers to sort contents in the Tree list area, as I now do to sort the contents of the Filter list. Currently, you have to right-click and choose Sort Asc or Sort Desc. However, to remain consistent (usability-wise), please allow us to click on the column headers to toggle the sort orders back and forth.

Thanks,
Glen

p.s., I have mio books that do not use the "tree" feature, but instead list 100+ journal articles with associated details in the tree area. Therefore, sorting becomes an important feature.

Glen, this is so by design. In Filter view the order of the documents is not set initially, so there is no problem to sort it on the fly. In the Tree view however, if you accidentally sort the documents in a tree, there is no easy way to undo that operation. This is the reason why you can sort documents there only with the context menu.
