date formats

Post by marinus »

Is it possible to widen the choice somewhat with 2 reverse formats, yyyy-mm-dd and yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss ?

We are just finishing MyInfo 4.24, so could you tell me which date format do you want us to extend: this of the attribute or the Insert Date & Time's one?

Hi Petko,

Could you also consider the following date format?
(for insert Date & Time)

1) yyyymmdd

2) yyyymmdd hh:mm (24 hour format)

3) yyyymmdd hh:mm PM (AM/PM format)

It would be tremendously helpful.

Thank you,
Alex

EDIT: Petko, if you are under time constraints and have to prioritize,
could you at least consider option 1? (yyyymmdd)

How about no year as well in column/attributes e.g. 25-May or May-25?

We will postpone date format enchantments for the next version, because we want to make them right. Maybe we should add custom date/time format support?

Petko,

Custom date format would be nice.

But it seems to be a major time commitment on your side compared to
adding a few formats.

Would it not be easier to add a few format requests that we have here?

There can't be too many variations to display date and time=p

(Really hoping to get yyyymmdd)

Regards,
Alex

Petko,

I see that the entry to "customize the date time entries" somehow disappeared in uservoice.
In that case, could you include the 3 formats:

1) yyyymmdd
2) yyyymmdd hh:mm (24 hour format)
3) yyyymmdd hh:mm PM (AM/PM format)

It would make a major difference.

More date/time formats is still in our todo list and will be added in one of MyInfo 5 updates.
