Sometimes the tree can become too big and unwieldy.

To help with this it would be nice to have an option (a tickbox within the Options dialog) which would close other branches, it would close everything which was not necessary to be open to see the current document automatically.

What this would do is to collapse all branches of the tree which are not a direct ancestor of the document I'm looking at and also collapse the children of the siblings. This could be called the 'declutter' option. :D

Is this something similar as to when navigating a CHM help file? Only the current document to be visible and all other collapsed?

Exactly !

I'm just saying this mode would be nice to have as an option in MyInfo.

Added as an advanced option in both MyInfo 7 and MyInfo 6.38.
