Math functions and formulas

Post by Senkusha »

Would it be possible to add some sort of feature that would allow for a quick way to enter various mathematical formulas and notation into MyInfo? Things like the square root, limit, sum, powers, log.... This would be great for taking notes in Math class.

Has anybody had any expericance with this, or am I the first person to see this as a benefit?

MyInfo has no native support for mathematical functions, however you can insert mathematical symbols and equations using the Microsoft Equation Editor (available in Microsoft Office). To do this, click Object on the Insert menu, and from the objects list, select Microsoft Equation Editor.

Great! :D

However, when I tried this, I got the following:
Here is what I entered in the equation editor:

And here is what I got back:

Is there anyway to fix this, or is there something you have to fix in the code?

Thanks!

There is a workaround for this: just open it again (by double clicking it) in the equation editor and close the editor. We will try to fix this for the future versions.
