Where do things stand in terms of integrating MI with Outlook?

I found several requests in the forum for integrating Outlook email messages, contacts and tasks:

I also found a post (March * 2006) where Petko said this would be added into the development timeline.

However, the only references I could find in the current Help Guide are for Outlook Express (not Outlook) -- and the link to the explanation of the Outlook Express integration is not working on my PC:

Any updates on the Outlook integration timeline/plans will be appreciated.

Outlook integration would be nice. For business users, I can understand why they must use Outlook

But I'd far prefer to see integration for the open-source mail app Thunderbird.
I painstakingly switched from Outlook years ago, and never ever want to go back.
Being able to integrate some way with Thunderbird would be a nice feature.
