Somehow lost data in the text edit. Question on backups?

I'm not sure how... .maybe somehow I highlighted everything then poof it's gone.

I've tried control-z. Nothing...

I've tried reloading a backup Not there. So somehow the original data got overwritten by the data that's missing which is a blank edit window!

So when I choose to backup every 10 minutes. Does it over write the original?

I only see one file with the file name Verified added to my filename.

Is there anyway to make incremental backups?

It just happened again!

I added just a sentence in the 'text editor' and about an hour later the item in the tree editor is greyed out indicating nothing in the text editor side! Sure enough it's blank!

Any ideas?

I wrote 'testing' in the text editor side, then I click off the tree item onto another tree item, then saved my file.

I went back to the item where things are disappearing and voila I see no 'testing'. It's blank!

What is going on? :?:

This time I typed in "hello, testing"
Then I click onto another tree item then back and the text was there.
I save the file and went back to the tree item and the text is gone!

Any ideas?

I have been trying to reproduce this, because this could be dangerous if true.

After two hours of testing various scenarios on a newly created topic, the text in the note windows DOES NOT dissapear.

Anybody else with this problem?

Kerry, I am afraid that I can't reproduce this too.

Could you give me the exact steps that you take, when it happens for you? Simply typing something and clicking to other document in the tree works as expected for me.

The issue has cleared up. I can't reproduce it now. But the other day even after closing the program down totally and bringing it back up. I still could enter in text, click off to another item, save and when I went back to the tree item the item was not greyed out until I clicked on it, then it went grey and I could see nothing in the text editor side.

Is there any way to search for my lost data?

Is there any way to set up incremental backups?

Thanks

Could you send me the topic at support@milenix.com in order to inspect it?

I have tried to reproduce this bug using the clues in the posts but so far I have been unable to reproduce the problem.

Sorry. :|

Hi,

this or something very similar happened several times to me some time ago, and it was related to the font that had been chosen. I can't remember if it was a copy/paste or if I typed everything, and I don't know what version of MyInfo Pro it was.

Cheers...
