Copy from certain web sites

Select and copy content from this example page: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/23/science/blue-whales-indian-ocean.html?surface=home-discovery-vi-prg&fellback=false&req_id=743805908&algo=identity&variant=no-exp&imp_id=771641329 While the rendering is generally better in 7, there...

[planned] Document content in perspectives

In version 6 we were able to filter on specific document content, but not yet in version 7. The lack of this makes 7 harder for me to use. Yes, I know that there is a separate search facility but it is not the same. In 6, I could filter on document content, and select multiple documents for further ...

Re: Updating error

Thank you Petko. I have received no emails informing me of updates since 7.0.6. I have nothing in spam nor do I have any active filters or blocks. Could you please re-send? I can provide an alternate email address if this helps. I will PM it to you.

Updating error

Using 7.0.7 portable. When checking for updates, I get an error. Is there a way to directly download the latest updates for the install and portable flavors?

Thank you.

Re: URL attribute

Telesto, what Petko is proposing is the addition of a new attribute, Source URL, that would be populated when clipping from the web. It would be automatic (don't know why someone would want it optionally). Yes Petko, please add this. EDIT: Another thought. While you are adding "Source URL"...

Re: URL attribute

Thank you. It was working (or not) this way in version 6. One would think that it would have been implemented back then. This is why I think there is some way to use this field that we are not aware of. Other than pasting the url - I hope.

URL attribute

I have always wondered how this works but never asked (from version 6 and now 7). In other programs when clipping from a source, this field is automatically populated with the url or sometimes the uri (but this is rare). So in MyInfo when clipping from the web, I would expect this field to show the ...

Re: Attachments

Problem solved, I think. Rebooted my computer and attachments are now accepted. Even the largest one. So unless something else is going on, I think all is fine.

By the way, the improvements to performance are very noticeable.

Thank you Petko.

Re: Attachments

The files are just text. Very small. None of the files I attempted to attach were open elsewhere. Perhaps the first file I attempted to attach which was a few MB shy of the 100MB limit, was seen as too large (depends how MyInfo measures the file size). Maybe this "fooled" MInfo on subseque...

Continuing to test version 7 but relying on 6 for work. With 7.07, I installed a fresh copy, created a new copy and added 7 notes to the topic. Being able to attach large files is important for me and I wanted to test 7's capabilities. Version 7 now accommodates attachments up to 100MB, so I chose t...

Re: abiltiy to add keywords to sections of text

Agreed. I use some other programs that have this feature. In other forums users argued that named bookmarks can do the same thing. Bookmarks can be pressed into service, but they are not the same and have significant limitations when working with a large number of them.

Re: Web clipping

Thanks for the feedback. I have been using 7.0.4 and was unaware of 7.0.5. Perhaps there have been some improvements affecting the speed of web captures.

Copy single note

In version 7 is/will it be possible to copy a single note without its descendants? Similarly, will it be possible to select disparate notes at different levels of the tree hierarchy? This would help when reorganizing to another section. Currently I am doing this individually, and culling the unwante...
