After restarting MyInfo, yes the problem persisted. I eventually overcame it by using a backup made with other backup software.

Unable to write or add notes to restored notebook
I have had to restore a notebook that lost all its data. However although I've got the data back I can't add to or paste images into existing notes. Nor can I add a new note.

Personally I prefer the method ued by TreeDB, which allows you to either password protect a file or a record (document), so you can open a file with lots of password protected documents.
