Thought you might want to know about this minor glitch:
1. Open a Note in a new window
2. Menu | Insert | Horizontal line
3. Nothing happens
Close the window and Insert Horizontal Line does work in main editor.

Re: [fixed] Internal note linking use @ in MyInfo 8.2 fails
Petko, it still does not install version 7959. After multiple installation attempts including after shutting down my computer and trying again, my version remains 7957 -- and the @ linking still fails.

Re: [fixed] Internal note linking use @ in MyInfo 8.2 fails
I am afraid it is not fixed. I tried updating to version 7959 but now the installation of the Update fails. Each time after I try updating, my About screen tells me I still have version 7957. When I Check for Updates, I get the following message. MI8-update 2023-11-24.png In other words, it seems to...

[fixed] Internal note linking use @ in MyInfo 8.2 fails
After installing the new MyInfo version 8.2, I ran into a nasty bug. When trying to create a internal link to an existing note in any existing or new database by using the shortcut @ method, no list of existing notes to choose from appears. Instead, the message following @ is to "Create a note&...

Hyperlink formatting issues with imported TXT files
5 years ago, hyperlinks to websites contained in my MyInfo 6 files imported into MyInfo 7 caused those links all to appear in Arial 10-pt font when my display font was set for Verdana 11-pt. See https://forums.myinfoapp.com/viewtopic.php?p=9805&hilit=arial#p9805 The hyperlink formatting issue ha...

Re: After applying 7845 update, version still reads 7843
Also still not working for me as well. When I open desktop version of MyInfo, I receive the message: "MyInfo 8.0 [7845] is now available (you have 8.0 [7843]) Would you like download it now?" After installation, Help | About shows no change. It still lists my version as MyInfo Professional...

Re: After applying 7845 update, version still reads 7843
+1 Glitch in updating from desktop MI8 version 7843 to version 7845.
My update is telling me that version 7485 will be installed but after download and installation, checking Help | About shows that MI8 remains version 7843.

Re: Changing landscape
Telesto,
Thank you for taking the time to post such a very thorough and clear response to my questions. I gain much from learning about how others store both their own notes and found information so I do appreciate reading about your approach.

Changing landscape
Changing landscape Over the past several years, I have been following the changing landscape of note-taking software programs. I am not a programmer nor a developer but I have needed a note-taking system in my profession. I have used a variety of such note-taking and note-storing programs. Most of t...

Re: Compacting a file
Jon, I agree with your observations and expectations. To illustrate, I conducted some experiments with trying to compact MyInfo 7 files: 1. My original file, db-1.mnb, is 3,936 KB in size. 2. I exported db1.mnb to a new MyInfo Notebook, db-2.mnb, which has a 3,944 KB size. 3. Using db2.mnb, I go to ...
