Re: Import/Export many files

Never mind that post above, I was having problems when testing it earlier. I see it exports both files. That's nice to know. That'll be really useful. I tried it on my desktop but for some reason it would crash every time I tried exporting my test file right after I chose the folder. I sent the erro...

Re: Import/Export many files

When you import .txt and .rtf files, MyInfo imports them into the note, converting them to MyInfo text format (which ultimately is just HTML). That's why, when you export it, it is again converted from HTML to RTF and the resulting RTF could be slightly different than the original. However, if havi...

Drag and drop from file explorer to add file links instead of attachments

Is there a way to drag and drop from Windows File Explorer to add files as External Document links instead of attachments? I tried holding down the Ctrl or Alt while dragging to see it that does anything different but doesn't seem to be.

Thanks,
Larry

Re: How does everyone separate with Notebooks, sections, outline levels?

Hello Matt, welcome to the Forum. Thanks for the well wishes and I hope you and yours are doing well also. The One Big Notebook can work fine depending on how you're using MyInfo. Off the top of my head, a few I can think of right away- Advantages - All your info in one notebook, easy peasy lemon sq...

Re: serious problem with sorting by attributes

Is this still present? If so, certain search query format? I haven't encountered issues myself, yet. [/quote] It's not a specific phrase but how I was trying to search using normal wildcards, double quotations etc.. I found that I couldn't search in Titles the same as in the Note Body so I spent hou...

Re: serious problem with sorting by attributes

Once again, mysteriously, all is well. I have now taken a solemn oath that I will never again report problems here until I have waited at least a week! Bill Don't wait a week. If it happened once it'll happen again. I've had this experience with search terms not working, then it works, then it does...

Global Search whole notebook for Created date attribute.

How could I run a Global Search finding a date range of an attribute. What would the search phrase be? Mainly the "Created" attribute. I'd like to find notes created today (or range of dates) across all sections in the notebook. I think I tried everything and searched Help and the Forum bu...

Re: Note List

I may be misunderstanding but if you right-click on the "Section Name Tab" and go to "Section Properties" there is an option for Multi Line Note Titles.

Re: First feedback of 7.0.8

Hi Peter, If I'm not mistaken, you use the Export function as a "Save As" feature. I'm guessing since it automatically saves now and there's no "Save" button that maybe putting in "Save As" would be a little confusing. File > Export > MyInfo Notebook You can choose eith...

Adding Hyperlink to File crashes program.

MI 6582 Hi, Inside note, creating a Link to a File crashes program. It does this after clicking "Ok" from hyperlink window. Testing it, occasionally it will create the link but will crash upon opening that link. Sent the error report when it allowed me to but not sure it sent since program...

Re: formatting in note list

When you add the buttons to the menu bar for "Text Color" and "Text Background Color", the Text Color gives you the "More Colors" option but the "Text Background Color" doesn't. If you go into Text formatting, it's called "Highlight Color" and you ca...
