Re: After applying 7845 update, version still reads 7843

i think that's just a numbering glitch, for me it says actually on CHECK FOR UPDATES option even newer than 7845: Myinfo 8.0 [7846] same on ABOUT option in help menu, tho at end says 7843, at start of same line says 7846, seems just a mis-number typo at end of line only: 8.0 [7846] , Myinfocore 1.9....

Re: Dark Mode Tips + Single Command to Convert Formats of many files for import

I found a way so we do not have to specify a folder (C:\test etc) in first section, just use: %cd% ofc you have to have terminal where the files are. So just right_mouse_click in explorer window of folder where files are then choose open command window or whatever terminal/command. If you only get: ...

Re: Dark Mode Tips + Single Command to Convert Formats of many files for import

Code below is a simple one-liner i tried & it works. It works in CMD terminal (Dosbox) & not Powershell like previous post. If you are in Powershell you can convert terminal to cmd, just type: cmd in example below it assumes: * Files are in a folder called test in root of C: drive (C:\test),...

Re: Dark Mode Tips + Single Command to Convert Formats of many files for import

Also if your Markdown file had an outline tree structure and then converted into docx and imported, you can see the tree oultine.
It's also clickable for navigation after conversion & import, just by enabling Note Structure:

View (menu): Panes >: Note Structure Pane

Re: Dark Mode Tips + Convert Formats for import

Single terminal command to convert many files (in my case .md or .markdown to docx) for mass import into mi8, can do other formats too: In Last long line: input (markdown) can be changed to whatever input format & output (2 cases of docx) can be changed to rtf, txt etc. To Convert all files in a...

Dark Mode Tips + Single Command to Convert Formats of many files for import

Well this version 8 is a masterpiece. I only updated my Windows laptop after months for it as usually use my Linux distros laptops. I have a thread here a while back requesting Dark Mode so I am glad now we have it. Most professional full-time writers & also coders only use dark modes in apps &a...

Re: Dark Mode + GUI

Hi Petko, I know you have been working on this for years. Is it possible to have Dark Mode which is standard on most apps these days as an: "Experimental Feature" Which can be downloaded as an alternative installer for MyInfo ? Or somehow enabled as experimental feature in settings or plug...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

Thanks for your comment Petko. Before I answer your question I will say 2 things which any very young teenager knows and would nullify any attacks on this ex-request: No two word processors give the same 100% styling options. This means hundreds of word processors & dozens of MS Word/Office vers...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

P.S. As for the rest: v) Again, nothing to do with my specific ex-request (myinfo competitors i know implementing them), it is just talking about whatever. What can i say to rapping? Anyone can talk about whatever, off-topic etc. As i said before: Reminds me of Alice in wonderland: "Time has co...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

Yes, I agree, forum groupings & forum politics syndrome is well known. Puts off much expert input, for ever. Makes a lot of forums utter waste of time by a few driving away most which is why yesterday for the first time I saw the light why a myinfo competitor dev I know refuses to have a forum. ...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

..... What is discussed in a forum with some small percentage of current users, does not represent the real world. Sadly one can get cocooned in such artificial atmospheres, but that is not reality. The potential for features' roadmap is great, i wish had more time but not possible in a forum and to...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

There seems to be 2 POINTS of discussion that needs addressing before discussing my points themselves. 1) Some confusion seems to exist about: "Word docs in Myinfo!" This is not precise. This can go on forever, if this muddle of a reference continues, there'll be no point. There are 3 type...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

Maybe I am misunderstanding. You made the point in another thread about editing a docx file in MyInfo. And while editing options in MI are basic, I imagine there would be instances when unintended formatting changes or incompatibilities would arise. This would be a problem for someone expecting fid...

Re: Export All Docs To Original Source Files (Feature Request)

Also: * For both sync options: All MSWord sourced files or MSWord's icon right_clicked on: There can be a popup message_box warning: Original files will be overwritten [OK] [Cancel] * If the original path folders for the MSWord sourced files are not available anymore, or changed: The doc/docx/rtf/tx...
