Re: Tree
Fred, Thank you for all of your insight. I learned quite a bit, and will be incorporating some new features in my workflow. Suggestion: What you think of entering all your suggestions into myinfo.uservoice.com ? In this way, you can also see how other users are agreeing/disagreeing with you. I will ...

inquiry - editing in filter view
Petko, Is this suggestion technically possible and something you could consider? "Cut paste documents in filter view" * Let's say there are 500+ documents and subdocuments in a tree all having specific tags * There are 10 documents with tag "A" spread out all over the tree. * I g...

Petko, When you create this feature please consider two entries. 1. start date 2. due date A lot of time management methodologies use start date reminders in addition to due date reminders. Implementation wise, I don't think there should be too much overhead on your side, but it would make a signifi...

Petko,
After reindexing and renaming the tags, I also was not able to
recreate this effect.
Thanks for looking into this problem.

bug report - MI50.05 Pro - one character tag
Hi Petko, I am encountering the following problem. I have a few documents with the tag "R". I have another group of documents tagged "entrepreneurship" When I goto tag view and click on "R", I see documents with both "R" and "entrepreneurship". Would...

export suggestion - pdf
Petko, As an another intermediary solution, Could you create a "pdf" export option with bookmarks specifying levels? If first level nodes in the tree can be the bookmark reference points, this could actually be extremely useful. I know some pdf bookmarks have nested bookmarks too. I tried ...

thank you & Request
Hi Petko, Thank you for the explanation - now I understand better. I will also explore the dropbox and html option. I experimented with webpages, and had the same problem as wsp. However, as I am only interested in "read only" from a platform, I will do the same and experiment with dropbox...

continuation
Hi WSP, Although iphone development is "generally" not as complex as a windows application development such as MyInfo, it requires a very different skillset. Evernote can afford to expand because they have funding - I think it was approx 1 million USD ... I have the exact same problem as y...

continued discussion
Hi WSP, Sorry to throw in technical jargon. Judging from your posts, I thought you were a developer =p I used to work in software development 7-10 years ago. Although I don't write code any more, I still follow the trend. Yes, you are right. I thought of getting MyInfo users together to fund an appl...

an idea
To WSP: If Petko decides to create a public import export API for version 5, would you be interested in getting together a small group of users to outsource an iphone app that reads mio files? I am just brainstorming: 1 * dropbox & MyInfo reader app in iphone -> myinfo reader app that accesses t...

public API for version 5
Petko,
I realize that public api to import export from MyInfo were
available for version 3, 4.
Are there any plans to create a similar export API for version 5?
Thank you,
Alex

iphone app thoughts
I agree with WSP: I also have a strong need to read the topics on an iphone. Petko: Is creating a public API an available option? If MyInfo API is available to the public, I would even consider hiring someone to create an iphone app. I would be happy with even only the "read only" function...

questions / suggestions
WSP, question: Can you export your topics properly to rtf? I use MI 5.04 and when I try to export 10-20 MB mio files, it freezes... only small subbranches work...which is frustrating. Idea: Once you have an exported rtf, I found out about this one: Nitro PDF professional * It lets you create pdf boo...

bug report: MI 5.04.2 - export freezes with 10 MB mio files
Petko, I am trying to export 10-20 MB topics to rtf so I can import them to an iphone application. However, I encounter the following problem. The status completes 50-80% (depending on the run..) and then goes into an infinite loop. CPU usage is 80%... but even after 3 min it still is there. My expo...
