Re: Reminders
To the first part of CyberCrone's post I'd like to say, 100 p.c. d'accord with me (without knowing the feature, but it's more than logical what he says)! For the second part, I must admit that I never tried Reminders in MI, like I only lately came to try Favorites, and since links, even in text fie...

Re: MyInfo and DropBox
I use Dropbox to sync MyInfo files every day. The only explanation I can offer for your problem is that perhaps the MI files can't sync when they're open or minimized to the taskbar. Yeah, that's an easy thing to forget, but I've been careful about that while checking this out. Your message confirm...

MyInfo and DropBox
I have been using DropBox to sync files between my desktop and laptop for several weeks now, with no problems, no glitches whatsoever. Yesterday I set up the My Topics folder in My DropBox but it won't sync them. Has anyone else been using DropBox with MyInfo and if so, have you had any problems? I ...

Re: Pasting failed
Yes, this is a known bug in the beta. It happens for HTML data as far as I know and will be fixed soon. For the benefit of others reading the thread, you can un-HTML your text by pasting into Notepad on Windows systems (don't know what you would use for MACs) which converts to plain text, and then ...

Pasting failed
I was copying and pasting sentences from a different application to a Task document in MyInfo. The first paste went fine. Then I added another Task and could not paste. I went to a different application to make sure it was MyInfo and not my system, and without copying again I successfully pasted the...

Re: Link to specific place in document
Petko, it's no. 3 in your list -- the pasting -- that doesn't work in the beta. I have tried both control-v and and Edit>Paste, and neither procedure would insert the link into the second document. Petko: Yep, ditto. I think it was from wsp that I learned how to make it work by opening read only wi...

Re: Link to specific place in document
It's easy. Place the cursor in a document that you want to link to. Bring up the right-click menu and select "Copy link to this paragraph." Then go to another document and insert the link with control-v. At least that's how it works in 5.07. I noticed that that control-v doesn't insert th...

Quick/wiki?
I see a reference made to Quick/Wiki and it sounds great but this is another one I can't find. I seem to be the "can't find it" gal around here. Petko, please hurry and get some of this stuff in the Help file!

Link to specific place in document
I swear I saw some instructions from Petko on how to create an anchor in text and then create a link to go to that exact place, but I can't find it now, even doing a search on "link". So far I am able to link only to a document. ???

Re: MyInfo 5.50 Beta feedback
if I copy a link to a document in the clipboard, I am not able to paste it in another document. When pasting, nothing is inserted. To solve the problem I have to open a read-only window and click on the edit button, if I try then to paste, the link is correctly inserted. I'm having the same problem...
Reminders
It took me quite a while to find how to set a reminder in the beta. You can view the reminder window from a menu, but not SET a reminder from there. At present that has to be done in Attributes pane, which is not where I would normally look for it. I suggest you add a 'Set reminder' command to the r...

Set reminder?
UPDATE to message below: I found it! It's in the attributes pane. It would be much easier if it were on a menu. I'll put that in the Suggestions forum. Installed beta this morning and tried to set a reminder but could only find 'Reminder window' under View menu that appears to be only to view existi...

Re: Hyperlinks between topics?
Try it the other way round: go to the document you want to link to and select "Edit / Link to this document" from the menu. Then go back to the document you want to place the link and paste the link from the clipboard. Hello over there in Switzerland! This worked perfectly, mfelix. Thank ...

Re: MyInfo 5.50 Beta
Reminder function is VERY good news! Lack of it is why I stopped using MyInfo last year. Now I'm back and will be delighted to try 5.50.
