Re: Typewriter scrolling

Scrivener can be set to do a similar thing where the cursor position is two thirds of the way down the screen (if there is enough text above it).

This is better when one is typing a long passage of text.

Real Clones

It would be nice if the child documents of a cloned document stayed in sync. The child documents don't need to be duplicated, after all it is the parent which is the clone. Just that a parent child relationship to one of the clones was the same relationship to all of them. As if each instance of the...

Re: Ribbon bar?

Ribbons are really awful in my opinion. If such a horrible feature is being considered  please make it optional like Libre office and not mandatory like Microsoft Office. Ribbons were introduced by Microsoft because they consider touch screens are the future, they think that portable devices an...

Folders

Sometimes you just want a named place to put a collection of documents. If you use a document for this then it ends up with all the metadata you have assigned to the other documents, and if there is no need for any notes then you end up with a blank document whose only significance is its name and i...

Apply this value to children

In the context menu for the attributes panel there is an option to 'Apply this value to children' , this is very good for setting attributes but it is not as useful as it might be for setting Tags. The problem is that it wipes out the Tags which already exist and replaces them with the values being ...

Re: Roadmap ?

I do not have a need for a QDA (Qualitative Data Analysis) tool, but I really could use a Hierarchical Tagging/Keyword system. That would be a huge step forward. There are only a few programs with a Hierarchical Tagging/Keyword system, one program which does have this is ConnectedText, which is good...

[solved] A suggestion for Import/Export

It would be nice if MyInfo supported OPML format for inport and export.

OPML format is an emerging open format for data exchange of hierarchical data between outlining programs and for this reason I believe it ought to ba supported.

Re: Some thoughts about tags in MyInfo

I make heavy use of tags. I treat them like categories and as such it would be useful if one could have subcategories, a hierarchy of categories/tags. MyBase and ConnectedText are the only programs which implement this. MyBase falls down badly in other areas. ConnectedText is OK but awkward to use. ...

Re: Send to myinfo

Send to MyInfo (whichever flavour you use) is not a part of MyInfo, it is a web browser add-on. There are two menu options (in the 'Tools' menu) which appear in Firefox. 1. Send to MyInfo 2. Send to MyInfo (attachment) If you use 'Send to MyInfo' then a link to the web page you are viewing will appe...

Re: Send to myinfo

'Send to MyInfo' is an add-on for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. It's purpose is to send copies of web pages to MyInfo.

The Internet Explorer version come with the program when you install it. The Firefox and Chrome versions can be downloaded from the Milenix website.

Re: How to vote for new features

The title banner of the user votes page says MYINFO 5, the program is now on version 6.

This is not a criticism, just an observation.

Roadmap ?

Is there a document/forum post available anywhere giving details of what might be planned for the next release of MyInfo?

Is there any clue as to approximately when the next release will be?

Re: Spell check optional at the document level

I too have this problem. Documents containing code are a mass of red squiggles. It would be good to be able to turn off the spell checking for individual documents but it would be even better if one could set the language to be one of the computer programming languages and get syntax highlighting fo...

Re: MyInfo actually has no tabs!?

I think it would be nicer if I could choose to have tabs for different files or to have different files open in separate windows. There are circumstances where I would like two instances of MyInfo open on different screens to make it convenient to drag documents between the two. There doesn't seem t...
