Copy doesn't work in some of my MyInfo topics
It's odd that I can copy text and photos from some of my topics, but not others. I don't have a clue how to address this problem. It doesn't work for the entire topic either with ^C or from edit menu, while in other topics it does. I am wondering if I have inadvertently locked some topics from being...

MyInfo on the Mac? Well, maybe...
I'm leaving this post in case the info is interesting to someone but after only a few days of running MyInfo under Crossover on the Mac, I realized there was trouble in paradise, enough that I gave up on it. Buggy. Crossover gets a lot of hype but it just isn't that good, in my view. Do a search for...

Re: Format "done" tasks style to eliminate crossout?
I was looking for it under Format/Styles. Sigh. Thanks.mfelix wrote:yep, you have
Go to "Tools / Options"
Select "Tasks & Reminders"
Unselect "Strikeout completed tasks"
Is that what you want ?

Format "done" tasks style to eliminate crossout?
As you know, when we click the completed checkbox on a task, the default format automatically crosses out the title. I want to change this so the title is not crossed out, but so far I haven't been able to find a way to do this. Am I missing something? (Probably)

Float images?
I want to have text next to photo in document, in HTML you would do this with "float". Can't find anything in Help file that tells me how to do this in MyInfo. Surely it can be done. Am I missing something obvious? (It wouldn't be the first time!)

Re: Topics tree? (subtopics)
You've got it right! You can export a branch of the topic to new topic using File > Export > Selected documents to new MyInfo topic. Thanks, Peko, but that isn't what I'm asking. I got this box when I created new topic . Underneath the box where you enter the name you want for the new topic, there ...

Topics tree? (subtopics)
Another accidental discovery. Yesterday when I created a topic the name topic box had another box under the main one that was labeled something that suggested the topic I was creating could be saved as a subtopic (although I don't think that was the term used?) of another one. I was surprised and pl...

Re: Change column alignment
Easy indeed! Never thought to look there. Not in MyInfo Help, unless somehow I missed it. Thanks, Bill!wsp wrote:Cybercrone, it's fairly easy to change the orientation. Go to File > Properties & Security > Appearance > Topic Panes.

Change column alignment
A couple of times when I have opened a new topic, the page comes up with tree panel and text panel horizontally aligned, rather than vertically. I like this because with the tree panel extended all the way across the screen, I can read long titles without having to adjust column widths. Also I like ...

Re: MyInfo and DropBox
I keep my MI files in the default location and then copy them over to the Dropbox folder from time to time. I notice that you work on your files directly in the Dropbox folder. Could that be the source of your problem? I don't see why it should be, but I just thought I'd mention it. I think I may b...

docs and dates with content bolded or backgrnd color?
Here's what I would like built in: when a document has content, the background of title in tree would change. I have lots of items listed in trees that as yet have no content. I would like to be able to see at a glance, without opening the document, if there is anything in it. Handy for diary items,...

Hey, love the 'export selected docs to new topic'!
Just discovered this. Great feature, was decisive in deciding to stay with MyInfo instead of another program I also use in the same way. It was decisive because I often need to do this and although I can do it in the other program, it is MUCH simpler in MyInfo. And fast.

DUH! That must be where I saw it; forgot and expected it to be in Help. Thanks!mfelix wrote:Have a look at "Tools/Keyboard shortcuts". You can change them to your liking.
Currently <CTRL>+<SHIFT>+<I> is insert time
and <CTRL>+<SHIFT>+<a> is insert date

keyboard commands for insert date only or time only?
I thought I saw somewhere that there are keyboard shortcuts for inserting date only and time only but now I can't find it. I tried some obvious choices but none of them worked. Am I deluded about this? (Again!)
Re: Reminders
Hi, Old Woman, As they said at UR's, English doesn't seem to be my native language, and you just proved'em right! I'm satisfied we're into the subject of inter-topic links, to topics and to items as well, since this functionality will make MI outstanding from its competitors and be its formula to d...
