spelling dictionary

When I add a word to the spelling dictionary, where does it go? Is is added to the dictionary I'm using at that moment, or is it put in a separate file? This is of some interest to me, because I use MyInfo on both my desktop machine and a laptop, and I would like to be able to move the customized di...

There are more details about what is happening to Ultra Recall at the Outliner Software Forum: http://www.outlinersoftware.com/topics/viewt/872 It's a good forum, by the way, and if you do a search for MyInfo there, you'll find that it is often discussed and is regarded by many of the participants a...

Great. Very glad to hear this news and am especially looking forward to the roadmap. I think that right now all of us who use programs like MyInfo worry about the viability of the small companies that produce them. I was rather shaken this past week by the news that Ultra Recall is stopping developm...

Richard, I agree.

This comment is directed at Petko:

I notice that it is possible to search for exact phrases (as well as rather complex Boolean combinations) in the saved views. Couldn't you just move some of that capability into the search box?

Richard, I was willing to make a commitment to MyInfo despite this gap, but I agree that the lack of exact-phrase searching is extremely exasperating. Nearly all other note-taking programs do offer it.

Petko, can you think about adding this in future releases?

I would also like to be able to capture URLs more efficiently. The technique used in EverNote 2.0 strikes me as excellent: I drag the Web page icon (at the left of the URL) into a note, and the program creates a link, of which the text is the title of the Web page. (When you try to do this in MI, it...

Petko, any progress in creating links within documents? I try to keep my documents short, but of necessity some of them are long, and I would like to link to particular paragraphs in them. I am using MyInfo for a book I have in progress, and my basic system is to keep all my notes in one topic and a...

Petko, thanks for the reply. Yes, I do think that when we limit the view to the documents with a particular tag, then searches ought to be done in just that group of documents rather than in all of them. I hope you'll consider that for future releases. Or if you merely want to make it an option, tha...

tags and searching

I like MyInfo's tags and use them regularly, but I am puzzled by their behavior. Here's an example of what I mean: In one of my topics, I use two tags: "corr" (correspondence) and "census" (census reports). If I select the "corr" tag in the tags mode, I expect to be abl...

Thanks very much for the prompt reply. I have another question on my mind as a new MyInfo user. I'm pleased that I can tile two or more documents from different topics; but I wonder whether, in the future, it will perhaps be possible to tile multiple documents from the same topic. If so, that would ...

beginner's questions

I've just begun trying out MyInfo and am very impressed. But I have just a few questions: Why can't I define a custom color for a paragraph background (in styles)? The command is there, but it is grayed out. Under Tools>Options>Display, when I create a custom color for the tree background or the edi...
