Web clipping
I am enjoying the added and improved features in version 7. In preparation for a research project, I need to take clips from the web. Articles from the New York Times and some academic journals - that sort of thing. But this is a slow process in 7. I have auto paste activated and from the time I cop...

Re: Attachments versus links
Thank you for the procedure. Some observations: 1. From what I can see, you can link just one file at a time. It would be helpful to have the ability to select multiple files to link, as you can with attachments. 2. In other programs you can drag files and/or folders into the tree. The default resul...

Attachments versus links
Instead of attaching a file in the tree, I would like to have a link to the file. My questions are these.
1. How do I create this link?
2. If the file can be indexed (and searched) when attached, will I be able to search for its contents if it is linked?
Thank you.

Re: CPU usage
Wow. Indeed, it is much improved. On startup and loading the same file, it is using about 55MB. A huge improvement. But it still does not release memory because after only navigation memory usage continues to climb. After about 15 minutes of experimentation, it topped 200MB. I have not tried editing...

CPU usage
On my computer, the amount of memory used by 7 is much higher than 6. I understand why this happens. Starting MyInfo 7 with no databases immediately uses about 120000MB. Loading a small database takes this to 132000MB. Using the database (navigating, editing, searching) steadily increases the memory...

In version 6 I can create a filter that will look for the presence or absence of words in a document. For me, this is very efficient. I see no way of doing this with perspectives in version 7. Am I missing something or is this yet to be implemented?
Thank you.

Access violation
Using the latest (6098) build under Windows 7.
I rarely open documents in windows, but today I had the need. One window was open when I closed MyInfo. I got an access violation. This is reproduceable.
Don't know if this was present before. Just now noticing it.

Re: [confirmed] Extremely large header when copying from website
This did not occur with earlier versions of MyInfo. So it started with 6.37? I just tested with 6.36. The header fonts are 80 point as described and no images are showing, just image placeholders. So yes, this occurs in 6.36. It seems to be something about the way this web site is coded (I think). ...

Re: [confirmed] Extremely large header when copying from website
I am not sure. Sorry.
Is it possible that a change in the website caused this?

Re: Error message when checking for update
I tried your suggestion. It seems not to be an anti-virus issue. I got the same result. To sum, explicitly allowing all access through my firewall and/or disabling anti-virus does not resolve the error.

[confirmed] Extremely large header when copying from website
This may be related to my report about images which was fixed ( https://forums.milenix.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5211 ). Go to the New York Times website (nytimes.com) and choose an article. Select the article with its title. Clip it to MyInfo. The header font is huge. 80 point! Why? I am using Fi...
