This is how it works in other applications too, I am afraid. What could be improved however is to add a visual representations for the levels like H1, H2, H3, etc as icons in front of them.

Does that happen even if you preview Text editor (File > Print > Print what: Text editor, then click Preview)?

Emma, there are two ways:

1. Via View > Dark Mode > select the desired option

or

2. Via Tools > Options > General > select the desired option

You can use the Compatibility option Editor: Do Not Restore Cursor position. It is located in Tools > Options > Advanced > Compatibility.

I will add an option for this in some of the next versions..
