We are considering adding links to tags and searches from a long time and I think that finally we can do that in MyInfo 4. At this time I can only guarantee that links to tags and searches will be in MyInfo 4. Auto-highlight of tags will be in our todo list for the subsequent updates of MyInfo 4, be...

Re: Editing multiple documents (treepane)

I know editing multiple documents' tags at once has been discussed... is there any way to modify the state images on multiple documents? How about column data? Kevin Kevin, all that is in our Roadmap for MyInfo 4. It will be implemented as a Document Properties dialog, where you will be able to mas...

Jan, here is how MyInfo copies documents between topics: 1. It copies the document text/embedded file and web resources associated to it. 2. It copies document title and all other builtin column contents. 3. If the source file contains custom columns, they are pasted in the destination file, only if...

Jan, if you copy and paste documents in MyInfo, the column data is preserved. For copying and pasting outside MyInfo this is not possible yet (you can work around this by exporting as text file).

Jan, maybe the confusion is caused by the fact that you copy some data from Excel and paste it in MyInfo text editor? This way you can edit the data only in the MyInfo text editor, but not in Excel. In order to be able to edit Excel spreadsheet in Excel, but store it in MyInfo, you have to insert it...

velivolus, unfortunately MyInfo and Firefox do not cooperate well with Chinese characters. Russian characters work fine when sent from Firefox to MyInfo, but Chinese don't. Currently you have to do the extra step (first copy the Chinese text to Word and then paste it in MyInfo) in order to copy Chin...

In order to edit the embedded file, you have to use Edit file instad of View file in the Attachment pane. When you click Edit file, a dialog with two buttons will appear: Save and Cancel. After you are ready editing the file, click Save and it will be updated in MyInfo.

Re: Upgrade policy

Petko, Since v4 will be out later this year, I'm wondering what your upgrade policy is. Thank you. Jan, sorry, I have missed somehow your question. In general all MyInfo are eligible for all point updates (3.1, 3.5 and so on). However, when we release a major new version (like v. 4), customer who p...

Kevin, I agree that these settings could be more consistent. Our idea is create a template, which will be used for every new document by default, so you will be able to change all settings in this template and later change the settings for individual topics, if you want so.

Wouldn't it be more consistent to have this under Tools/Options in the same dialogue where you can change the editor pane's background (and where you can change the font of the tree pane)? paul We moved it in the Styles, because this change is per topic, no a general setting. However it seems that ...

Paul, you can do that in the Format > Styles dialog. There select the Normal style (which is the default text style for each new document) and change its properties in the Font dialog.

We are going to implement multi-document editing (using the Document Properties dialog), so it will be possible to set up document and subdocuments sensitivity easily in MyInfo 4!

This suggestion makes a lot of sense. It will integrate very well with the existing columns feature and will be very helpful. My only concern is that it may be a lot of programming work and testing. I have to research this in order to know is it achievable for version 4.
