Better Cloning

It would be nice if when you had a clone of a document, if you add or delete a subdocument to one of the clones then it is added to or deleted from all the clones, i.e. the clones are all true duplicates of one another, i.e. multiple instances of the same document.

Any chance of this? :D

Classification of documents on Import

Many people use the filing system of their computer to classify documents. So I might have a folder for one topic, say Physics, this might contain documents about general physics. In that folder there may be sub-folders which contain sub-topics of Physics, say Geophysics or Optics or Electromagnetis...

Re: Somehow lost data in the text edit. Question on backups

I have tried to reproduce this bug using the clues in the posts but so far I have been unable to reproduce the problem.

Sorry. :|

Re: checkboxes

Yes indeed there is. If your attribute is a checkbox then the checkbox evaluates to either 'True' or 'False' depending on whether it is ticked or not. But it's even simpler than that because if you select an attribute with a checkbox when editing your filter then the checkbox comes up in the filter ...

Re: faster method to tag documents/nodes

I am new to MyInfo but I have surveyed many other note taking programs, and reviewed them in my blog ( http://pauljmiller.wordpress.com/ if you are interested). I agree that tags need a hierarchy to give them context. I use the tree as a hierarchical tagging system, MyInfo makes this possible becaus...

Re: Subscripts and superscripts

I just discovered that the editor does do subscript and superscript, the commands are very well hidden but they are there. They don't appear on any toolbar or in any menu but they are listed in the customize dialog under the commands tab, so you can drag them to a toolbar. I wonder what other treasu...

[solved] Subscripts and superscripts

It would be nice if the text editor did subscripts and superscripts.

E-mail messages

It might be a good idea if MyInfo could import e-mail message files in the .EML format.

Re: Multiple Attachments per Document

There is another similar program called MyBase.

MyBase creates a table at the end of a document which contains a list of the files attached to the document. Clicking on one of these will select it, double clicking will open it.

Perhaps something like this might be useful for MyInfo.

[partically added] Lock documents and/or attributes.

It would be nice if there were an option to lock a document so that it cannot be edited or deleted without first unlocking it. As a similar idea to this it would be nice to be able to lock an attribute for all documents in a topic so that it may not be accidentally changed. I have a topic full of se...

Remembering the position in PDF files

Dragging a PDF file into the tree area creates a view of the content of the PDF file which can be scrolled and have it magnification changed (with Ctrl+ and Ctrl-). This is a very nice feature but it would be even nicer if the viewer remembered the position in the PDF file so that the next time you ...

Repeating Reminders

Having the option to repeat a reminder would make MyInfo much more useful for scheduling tasks.
