Global Search Results Missing item

Post by sjaves »

MyInfo is skipping one of the search results. I do not understand why. 2 screenshots are attached.
I searched my database for the keyword "dog."
The attached screenshot myinfo_search-1.jpg shows "dog" highlighted as being a hit in the "Church" section, "Scar" note.

But, there is another "dog" keyword found in the same note. That is shown in myinfo_search-2.jpg. Yet it is not listed under the Global Search results.

Why is this?

I don't think global search preview will show all instances of the hit in the same note; Showing all hits with preview will produce a long list of results, depending on the hit count..

The global search doesn't truly show all the instances.

Thanks for the clarification, folks.

So this begs the question; how do I see all the results?

There is currently no way, except searching in document again with CTRL+F.
And well putting a Feature Request forward; which you effectually did by asking for something which doesn't exist yet.

It's up to Petko if he is willing to implement it.

Just a thought. You are searching for dog, right? Could you try searching for "dog*" (without the quotes)? Does this work?

Sorry for my tardy reply. I neglected to turn on notifications.

Jon, good idea to search with a wild card, but it did not make a difference.
