Hyperlinks between topics?

Hyperlinks between topics?
It appears I can only hyperlink between documents in same topic, not between different topics. Thought I'd check here to be sure I haven't missed something. Can I link between documents in different topics?
You can, but it probably does not work as you would expect.
If you select some text and click "Insert Hyperlink" you can only select documents from the current topic.
Try it the other way round: go to the document you want to link to and select "Edit / Link to this document" from the menu. Then go back to the document you want to place the link and paste the link from the clipboard.
