PDF saving not working

Post by chiasson »

Hi There:
I'm trying to save changes to an embedded PDF file in MyInfo, back to the original file, without success (any Word documents work fine I should add). My default program -- PDF-X-Change -- comes up inside MyInfo, but the file location that appears in the banner is to a temporary file in AppData instead of a the link to the file in the folder that was added previously (in My Documents). When I try to save, there is an error "Invalid Access mode...The document could not be saved...The file may be read-only, or another program/user may have it open". When I Save As, it shows the originating folder, and I can save to the original. However, upon returning, I'm still looking at the AppData version, and the changes don't appear when I return to the embedded document.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks.

MyInfo currently does not support editing in the embedded browser window. It is possible to edit embedded PDF files in MyInfo and save them back, using Edit Attachment command (click on the PDF icon to see the menu):

You may need to add "Edit" file association in Windows as described here.
