"Send to MyInfo"

I've been using MyInfo for many years, yet I'm embarrassed to say that I've never really explored the "Send to MyInfo" extension in Chrome, because whenever I need to record some information from the Web, I just copy-and-paste.
I can see now, though, that the "Send to MyInfo" route has some distinct advantages -- particularly the preservation of the original formatting of the Website. But it appears to me that it is not possible to search the text within that note. Is that correct? I see that, if I wish, I can type some separate notes below the captured Web page, and those notes are certainly indexed. Yet the actual Web page text is never indexed?
After some experimentation, I find that if I select part or all of the text on the Chrome screen, one of the choices in the "Send to Info" extension is "Send as text," and that seems to take care of the indexing problem, but it also means that I lose most of the formatting on the original Web page.
