Insert new subdocument at the top

Post by Wolf71 »

Currently the "insert subdocument" button places the new subdocument at the bottom of the selected document.

Can you make this customizable so that the new subdocument will be placed at the top of the selected document? I often create lists of subdocuments that are sorted "newest item first".

There is no option, but you can insert subdocuments in the beginning by using Insert Subdocument (first) toolbar icon, which you can add using Tools > Customize.

This command can be invoked from the keyboard by using Ctrl+Shift+Alt+N. Since this keyboard shortcut may not be convinent for you, you can change it via Tools > Keyboard Shortcuts.

That did the trick, thank you!

A related request:

Can you please add an option for Sent to MyInfo so that the snippet will be placed as a new document above the currently selected document?

I use Sent to MyInfo to build lists of hyperlinks (= web documents) sorted "newest item first".
