"Find text" in both directions

Post by Tester » Tue May 06, 2014 1:13 am

I refer to the search function "Find text" (Ctrl + F, respectively the button with the binoculars).

Currently you have to decide if the search direction (in a document) shall be "Up" or "Down":

It would be helpful if there where also the possibility to search in both directions (like the option that exists for example in the search function of MS Word). It is a little bit cumbersome to change the direction manually every time you are in a "wrong" position of a document.

Yes, it would be very useful to have this feature.

Hopefully version 7 will have significantly expanded/enhanced search features that will make finding data much easier. Although the current version is quite good, I've encountered many deficiencies with its search features.

I'd like to see this too, the ability to have the search automatically "wrap around" after it hits the top or bottom would be nice. A lot of text editors do this (as I'm sure Petko himself is aware).
