option to disable "cursor position remembering"

Post by DONLEONE »

hello Petko

one thing i miss,
is the option to disable the "remember cursor position" that it automatically goes to
when you click from a hyperlink to another note in another window/pane.

because i would like it to LOAD THE NOTE FROM THE TOP always focused,
and not where i left it off, since that is usually somewhere
at the end or middle of the note.

and so i always have to scroll UP & page UP every single time,
which would be so much easier and more efficient
if you could just ADD AN OPTION to the Advanced Options selection
where one could simply click the option:

"load each note cursor-focused on top".

thanks a lot !

greetings

ha! figured out a great work-around!

since besides of regular hyperlinks,
MyInfo can also link directly to a paragraph
and so i can just link my notes from now on
from the uttermost cursor position on the top

and thus all documents
will load thereby
from the top.

thanks Petko
for this great
2nd way to link.

greetings

That's indeed a good workaround, donleone.

Nevertheless the suggestion you made in your first posting could be useful for certain users too, namely in case that they have a lot of documents. For example I have at the moment about 17.000 documents within one file. To add manually a link (anchor) to the first paragraph of every document would be a little bit time-consuming.

I will think about such option, but I think that the default should remain the current way of going to where you've been last.
